In Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh, a scandal erupted as a photo depicting candidates cheating during the Sanskrit board exam went viral on Saturday, raising concerns over the examination's integrity. Subsequently, a case has been registered against four room inspectors, including the center administrator, in response to the incident, highlighting the severity of the situation.
The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Sanskrit Education Council examination, ongoing since February 15th, witnessed cheating practices in Government Inter College, the designated examination center. During the first shift on Saturday, candidates were observed copying from textbooks, guides, and even mobile devices with impunity, despite the proximity of the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) office. Following the uproar, the Principal of Government Inter College filed a complaint, prompting District Magistrate to form a three-member investigative team tasked with scrutinizing the cheating allegations and submitting a report within three days. Based on the findings, the DM directed the DIOS to take appropriate action to address the misconduct.
